Peter and the Starcatcher

About this event

Written by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker. This Tony-winning play sheds light on the beloved story of how a poor unfortunate orphan comes to be Peter Pan—the boy who won’t grow up. An imaginative and theatrical adaptation of the popular novel presents pirates and tyrants challenging an unlikely group of heroes. Peter… playfully explores the depths of greed and despair and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. The young orphan and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island. They are soon charged with protecting a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who realizes that the trunk she guards contains a precious cargo of starstuff, a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands. We soon meet the pirates, led by the fearsome Black Stache, a villain determined to claim the trunk and its treasure for himself. What follows is a thrilling adventure for the entire family.
