- ➤ Shreveport-Bossier started its 2026 Mardi Gras season with the Krewe of Sobek parade on January 17th, following the launch of MLK DreamFest on January 15th, which runs through January 24th. Upcoming parades, including Krewe of Harambee on January 19th, will build toward Fat Tuesday on February 17th + keep the community festive. KSLA
- ➤ Visit Shreveport-Bossier has announced its participation in the Louisiana Office of Tourism's Year of Outdoors campaign with an official event at the Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center. The upgraded 24,000-sqft facility offers interactive exhibits, live animal displays and hiking trails for outdoor recreation across Caddo and Bossier parishes. KTBS
- ➤ Shreve Memorial Library is hosting free programs this month to celebrate Hibernation, International Creativity, and Inspire Your Heart with Art Day by offering story times, crafts, and workshops with free supplies + engaging art for all ages.
