- ➤ Salvation Army is open as a cold weather shelter at the Merkle Center of Hope on Stoner Ave as sub-freezing temperatures hit this weekend. The center expands from 103 to 160 beds with cots — extra space will open if needed; donations of blankets, food and rain gear are welcomed. KTBS
- ➤ After a lineman was injured during inclement weather, deputies from three parishes (Bienville, Webster, and Bossier) transported his wife and mother safely to a Shreveport hospital. The coordinated effort helped the family overcome hazardous road conditions. Shreveport Bossier Journal
