- ➤ The Shreveport Police Department is preparing for this weekend’s Krewe of Centaur parade by imposing multiple traffic closures along Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway (Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. until Saturday morning and a hard closure starting Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. with parade access via Stoner Avenue). - ➤ On Jan. 31, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office held its first Explorer Program Achievement Celebration at 1501 Corporate Drive at 3 p.m. to honor local youth for their leadership and commitment to learning about law enforcement (this event is expected to become annual). - ➤ Wilburn A. 'Mickey' Crnkovic died on Jan. 28 at the NW Louisiana Veterans Home in Bossier City, where he was known as a longtime teacher and coach; visitation is Saturday, Feb. 7 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.) with a Mass to follow. - ➤ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat lights up the Emmett Hook Center at First Methodist Church this February with live music and energetic choreography. - ➤ The Louisiana DOTD and Rep. Tammy Phelps updated residents Tuesday at A.B. Palmer Park on asphalt overlay work on 70th Street (Highway 511) and Hearne Avenue (U.S. Highway 171) expected to finish in March; a second meeting is set today at 9 a.m. at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. KTBS
- ➤ Crews are slowly restoring water service in Oil City as officials work to repair system issues caused by cold temperatures, supplying Mooringsport, Lake View, and Oil City. Residents may pick up bottled water daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Town Hall until full service is restored. KTBS

- ➤ Two Shreveport men died of presumed hypothermia during Winter Storm Fern; Frederick A. Thomas was found behind an old YWCA west of downtown while another victim was identified only by fingerprint matching and officials said the search for next of kin could last weeks.
