- ➤ Demolition has begun at the old CVS location to clear the way for a new Chick-Fil-A in a bustling Shreveport shopping district; construction plans will be outlined soon (details forthcoming). KSLA
- ➤ Demolition of the former CVS building began yesterday on Youree Drive to make room for a new Chick-fil-A with three drive-thru lanes, located next to the current restaurant at 7010 Youree Dr. Shreveport Times

- ➤ The annual Christmas in the Sky event kicks off on Tuesday, Mar. 3 at 6 p.m. at Capri Theatre (620 Milam Street downtown) as organizers reveal this year’s theme to encourage community participation with free street parking available after 5 p.m. Shreveport Bossier Journal
- ➤ Krewes from Shreveport-Bossier held a Mardi Gras parade at Goldman School on Tuesday, Feb. 17 that gifted children beads, candy, and plush toys in a tradition started in the 1970s. - ➤ The LSUS student body crowned Shreveport natives Devyn Pitts and Courtney Patterson as the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen at halftime during the men's basketball game on Thursday; they will serve as ambassadors in Sunday's Krewe of Highland parade. Shreveport Bossier Journal
- ➤ Students in Caddo Parish Public Schools deepened their understanding of government when they visited Booker T. Washington High School and J.S.
