GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City officials funded six Mardi Gras parades from Jan. 17 to Feb. 15 by extending three-year contracts with four parades and covering police, cleanup and public works costs of about $103,000, including $90,000 salaries for the Gemini parade, to support an estimated $20 million economic boost.
