- ➤ The Caddo Parish Commission launched its first-ever Rising Star Talent Competition for students 6 to 19, offering multiple performance categories before celebrity judges. - ➤ Governor Jeff Landry proposed a constitutional amendment in Baton Rouge Monday to secure permanent teacher pay raises and work toward eliminating the state income tax (to boost the Teachers’ Retirement System).
