- ➤ After a loss Saturday in the Conference USA finals, the Louisiana Tech women’s basketball team will play in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament when it faces Rice at Tudor Fieldhouse (in Houston) on Thursday at 7 p.m. The team finished a 26-win season and now seeks to build on its strong regular-season play. - ➤ Players, coaches, and fans gathered Monday morning to send off the LSUS Pilots for the NAIA Sweet 16 tournament in Kansas City — the team will open play Friday at 2:30 p.m. against Ave Maria Gyrenes. KTBS
- ➤ Former Byrd grad Sydney Moss won the Hal Sutton Invitational women's title at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City this week.
