- ➤ Caddo Parish Schools superintendent Keith Burton has been named chairman of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Foundation for the 2026-27 term as the foundation marks its 50th anniversary. - ➤ The Louisiana Senate committee advanced a bill today (Sen. Patrick McMath proposed adding $15 million annually) to expand its high-dosage tutoring program for K-8 students, with state leaders including Gov. Jeff Landry backing the plan. Shreveport Times
- ➤ LSU Health Shreveport upgraded its Anatomical Sciences Wing by adding a VR Anatomy Lab with 25 workstations and a renovated Gross Anatomy Lab with 34 workstations (supporting more than 150 students), unveiled on March 19 to boost hands-on learning for future health professionals. KSLA

- ➤ Officials contained a Winn Parish wildfire on Mar. 19, 2026, that scorched 1,500 acres after sparks from a blown tire on an 18-wheeler set it off (high winds spread the fire).
