- ➤ Coach Callie Carmichael launched the Blanchard Warriors, an adaptive baseball league for children with disabilities in north Caddo Parish. The league uses whiffle balls and modified bats and welcomed 400 players with community leaders in attendance. KSLA

- ➤ LSU Health Shreveport hosted its fifth annual Cancer Survivorship Walkathon on Saturday at Betty Virginia Park, where survivors, students and healthcare professionals joined a walk that celebrated strength and funded the center's Wellness & Integrative Medicine Program. KSLA
- ➤ State lawmakers advanced a bill to create an Office of Health Nutrition within LDH that will coordinate programs on nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and physical fitness.
