ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Shreveport firefighters responded to a major fire at a house on the 2400 block of Kemp Lane in the MLK neighborhood yesterday morning — the blaze claimed three lives and left one person in critical condition as investigators work to determine the cause. KTBS
- ➤ On April 6, a house fire in north Shreveport killed two women and a girl and left another child critically injured—firefighters from 13 units and 31 firefighters worked to control the blaze in the MLK neighborhood—while local hospitals pronounced the victims dead. KSLA
- ➤ Early Sunday morning, a house fire in Shreveport’s MLK neighborhood took three lives and left one person in critical condition as firefighters reported no working smoke detectors and investigators said the blaze started in the front room. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ In March, Caddo Parish courts convicted several Shreveport residents for serious crimes—teen Eric Dewayne Green was found guilty of second-degree murder for a school killing and Damion Sherfield was convicted in a clerk murder—with others facing long prison terms for domestic violence, sexual battery and gun offenses, and some sentencing set for early April.
