  • Students from NW Louisiana competed in the Presidential AI Challenge Celebration held Tuesday at the Cyber Innovation Center in Bossier City. Two teams earned top state honors and will move on to the regional and national rounds on April 16.  KTBS

  • Poets Against Pollution is hosting an Earth Day celebration on Earth Day, inviting local residents to join in activities that highlight environmental efforts. Details on the venue and schedule will be announced soon.  KSLA

HEALTH NEWS

  • Ochsner LSU Health and Southern University Shreveport partner to launch a free monthly mobile dental clinic — providing essential dental care for local residents starting this month.  KSLA
  • LSU Health Shreveport named Dr. Lester W. Johnson Senior Vice Chancellor on April 7 after serving as interim for 11 months, and he provided steady leadership to enhance education, research, and patient care across the region.  Shreveport Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • LSUS weightlifters will head to the University Nationals at Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City from Thursday to Sunday, where Coach Aaron Adams expects the team to contend for both individual and team titles.
