- ➤ The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office hosted the 'Hip Hop to the Free Throw Line' event in Vivian where teams of children (ages 5 to 18) competed in a free throw basketball contest and an Easter egg hunt was held for young kids. Officials said the event aimed to show that the sheriff’s office offers more than arrests and engages local youth. KTAL
- ➤ Give for Good, hosted by the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, will start tomorrow as an online donation drive supporting 232 nonprofits in Shreveport and Bossier from April 22 through May 6 + it lets donors from anywhere give online. - ➤ North Shreveport Lions Club will host an event to honor the Coast Guard, veterans, and first responders on May 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Stoner Boat Launch—guests can tour the 65-foot Coast Guard vessel while local mayors deliver proclamations and the Magnolia High School Band performs the National Anthem. - ➤ On Sunday at 8:49 a.m. the Shreveport Fire Department answered a house fire call on Neal Drive and saved residents thanks to a working smoke alarm—seven units with 22 firefighters controlled the blaze by 9:10 a.m. KTAL

- ➤ Three Greenwood Police officers fell ill on April 20 after possible fentanyl exposure during a traffic stop when officers detained four car occupants with outstanding warrants and a concealed baggie of white powder— all three were treated at a hospital while the suspects were booked on possession and drug paraphernalia charges.
