- ➤ Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder-suicide in Keithville—officials have not released further details. KTBS
- ➤ Caddo Sheriff's Office said four people died in a Keithville home in a suspected murder-suicide after deputies responded to a welfare check call at 6:54 a.m.—neighbors described the suspect as possibly a doomsday prepper. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate
- ➤ On Monday morning in Keithville, deputies answered a welfare call on Mustang Circle where an uncooperative individual fired a weapon and a drone later revealed four dead people—including a suspected doomsday prepper—in a possible murder-suicide as investigators work to determine the cause. - ➤ Heavy rains in south Caddo have closed roads on Linwood Avenue near DeSoto Parish and officials warn that barricades may be set up again today to lessen further flooding. Caddo Commissioner Ed Lazarus said rising water from bayous (feeding Wallace Lake) is the cause, urging residents to stay alert. KTBS

- ➤ The City of Shreveport is giving residents free sandbags this week at Streets and Drainage Warehouse at 3825 Mansfield Road from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—each vehicle may pick up up to 15 bags. Residents must load and transport their own sandbags and drive carefully on roads that may have post-storm hazards. Shreveport Bossier Journal
- ➤ Today, Shreveport announced major upgrades to its water system after the city received an F grade from the state for the second year in a row—completed projects include rehabilitated water towers and updated treatment systems while plans call for replacing 1,100 miles of old water mains using funds from the 2024 bond. City officials said testing showed the water remains safe despite taste and odor issues caused by manganese. KSLA
