- ➤ Northwestern State University’s Department of Military Science and Leadership hosted a spring awards program that recognized outstanding cadets — including Kyra Cole, who took the Oath of Enlistment to serve in the Army. - ➤ The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office announced it is installing litter cameras at known illegal dumping sites across the parish — a program funded by a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful and local officials to help gather evidence against offenders. - ➤ Willis Knighton Advanced Surgery Center now offers a new non-invasive liver cancer treatment using high-frequency ultrasound to destroy tumors, performed by Dr. Gazi Zibari for local patients who can now avoid lengthy travel. The method lowers infection risk and speeds up recovery compared to traditional therapies. KSLA
- ➤ The Louisiana Department of Health released the 2025 water system grades on May 4, 2025, showing fewer failing systems and improved performance across more than 900 community water systems.
