- ➤ On Friday, May 9, Shreveport firefighters contained a house fire on Ellerbe Road by about 8:37 p.m.—and on Saturday, May 10, state police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Yancey Place that left one subject dead with no injuries to officers. Shreveport Times
- ➤ On May 9, police responded to a home invasion on Amherst Street when two suspects broke into a house with three children present and on May 10 the same suspects exchanged gunfire on Monkhouse Drive after an argument—leading to suspect Nehemiah Tillman being shot in the hand and charged with home invasion, aggravated assault with a firearm, and illegal use of a firearm while charges for a second suspect are pending. - ➤ A Shreveport police officer, on the job for about a month, is on leave after allegations of joining a downtown street fight + using racist language in a video, according to SPD spokesperson Chris Bordelon. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate
- ➤ Louisiana State Police are investigating a Saturday shooting on Yancey Place near Highway 3132 and Linwood Road in Shreveport—officers responded at about 8:00 p.m. and more than one SPD officer fired, leaving two dead while no officers were injured. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate
