- ➤ Louisiana teachers unions and school advocates are awaiting more details on Gov. Jeff Landry’s plan to avoid a teacher pay cut after a failed constitutional amendment. Lawmakers consider shifting $150 million from the school funding formula (proposal pending legislative approval) to extend December stipends. KTBS

- ➤ In April 2025, a load shed event left 30,000 customers without power in Caddo and Bossier because scheduled maintenance reduced power capacity; since then, SWEPCO and AEP have planned upgrades (including a new 765 kV line) to boost grid reliability, though the benefits will take years.
