- ➤ Deputies are investigating a crash between a truck and an 18-wheeler that resulted in one death—officials say the incident is under review. KSLA
- ➤ A Texas man, Larry Dean Donald Jr., was killed in a two-truck crash early Sunday on U.S. Highway 79 near Bethany + he was taken to Ochsner LSU Health where he died at 2:55 a.m. and an autopsy was ordered. KTBS

- ➤ Local entrepreneur Crystal L. Gantt beat brain tumors and now runs a publishing company in Shreveport—she writes children’s books that feature characters reflecting her own background and speaks at events to inspire others. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate

- ➤ Shreveport native Robert Williams III is hosting a youth basketball camp at the LSU-Shreveport Gym on July 7 and July 8 for players in different grades. The camp will run from 9 a.m.—12:30 p.m. for kindergarten and first graders on July 7 and from 9 a.m.—4 p.m. on July 7 and 8 for older players, with registration capped at 150 participants each day. - ➤ LSU Shreveport baseball team returned home Sunday after a historic 59-0 season that ended with its first NAIA World Series title in Lewiston, Idaho, as mayor Tom Arceneaux and local fans welcomed the Pilots.
