- ➤ Providence House in Shreveport received a $150,000 grant from the Community Foundation of North Louisiana to support programs for families in crisis. Interim Executive Director Lakeisha Florence said the funds will help provide essential services. KTAL
- ➤ Shreveport will host the 6th Annual Father's Day 5K Run & Walk at Southern Hills Park on Saturday, June 7 at 8:30 a.m. This free event offers a 5K run and family fun with food, face painting, horseback riding, inflatables and snow cones (and will highlight local Lead Runners). KTAL

- ➤ Supporters held a vigil on Sunday in downtown Shreveport for Brandon Davenport, a 32-year-old man fatally shot on May 18 during a police response to a carjacking, as his family—who say he did not carry a weapon and was vulnerable—demanded unedited bodycam footage while authorities maintained that officers acted properly. - ➤ On May 31 at 10:30 p.m., police in Caddo Parish chased a stolen Chrysler and arrested a 17-year-old for aggravated flight—after he jumped from the car and yielded a handgun and THC vape pen, a separate Mercedes chase ended in a crash that led to the detention of driver Cozy Graham and passenger Havana Madden for resisting an officer.
