CRIME NEWS

  • Shreveport police are seeking runaway teen Elijah Henderson, a 16-year-old Black male last seen at a family member's residence in the 1600 block of Dickinson Street after 4:00 p.m. on May 28 while wearing a gray t-shirt, dark jeans, black shoes, and a black hoodie; anyone with information should call (318) 673-7300 or (318) 673-7373.  KTAL
  • Authorities are searching for a white male who allegedly attacked a Hispanic man at a convenience store on Hollywood Avenue in Shreveport— the victim was on the phone when he was punched, sustaining severe facial injuries before being taken to LSU Health Science Center and the suspect may have fled in a dark-colored SUV.  KTAL

  • Mayor Tom Arceneaux announced today that Shreveport has launched a new Economic Development One-Stop Shop — a digital platform offering local entrepreneurs access to permits, licensing, zoning, and business incentives; the website was built in-house by City Economic Development and IT teams and will expand based on user feedback.  Shreveport Bossier Journal
  • Esperanza Moran, an LSU Board of Supervisors appointee, is accused of harassing LSU Health Shreveport employees—threatening to fire staff when they would not perform a house call for her husband and interfering with daily operations, leading to multiple complaints and ongoing investigations.  KTBS

SPORTS NEWS

  • The LSUS Pilots finished an undefeated 59-0 season and won the NAIA national championship, sparking excitement among local youth at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport on Monday. Many young fans asked questions about the team’s practice routines—fueling dreams to improve—and coaches said most starters will return next season.  KTBS
  • Shreveport’s Philip Barbaree Jr. finished a sectional qualifier in West Palm Beach Tuesday with an 8-under 64+ sealing his spot at next week’s U.S. Open at Oakmont, where he will join fellow local Sam Burns and a possible third former Tiger.  The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate
