- ➤ Cullen officials said that officer Reginald Ferguson—who shot a dog and pointed his gun at its owner without proper POST certification—was arrested for illegal use of weapons while Mayor Terry Hoof and Webster Parish authorities said further investigations and subpoenas are underway. KTBS

- ➤ 75-year-old Loretta Wiley earned her master’s degree in counseling and guidance from Louisiana Tech after nearly 20 years of determination—balancing her studies with substitute teaching in Bossier Parish. - ➤ The Caddo Commission is reviewing an ordinance to fund a $10 million pickleball park behind the Lash Family YMCA on Ellerbe Road with 19 regulation courts funded by revenue bonds.
