- ➤ Shreveport police are searching for a white male suspect who attacked a Hispanic man at a convenience store on the 1400 block of Hollywood Avenue—he punched the victim from his blind spot while the man was on his phone, and the victim was taken to LSU Health Science Center. - ➤ The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office warned residents that scammers falsely claiming to be Lt. Breck Scott called from 318-367-8454 and demanded payment for a missed jury duty warrant via gift cards—authorities stressed that the sheriff’s office never requests payments this way. KTBS
- ➤ Shreveport Police are searching for Katie Lynn Meservey for two thefts on the 6700 block of Pines Road—she stole liquor, cash, and merchandise on April 8 and May 20 and now faces active arrest warrants. Shreveport Bossier Journal

- ➤ Artport is returning to transform Shreveport Regional Airport into a vibrant gallery that showcases over 80 murals, paintings, and sculptures from local and regional artists — the event runs today from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and includes live music, guided tours every half hour, a cash bar, and a silent auction to benefit Volunteers for Youth Justice — with free valet parking available. - ➤ A bill that bans most speeding cameras is headed to Gov. Landry’s desk and, if signed, will stop Shreveport’s planned expansion of the program beyond school zones—City officials approved the expansion after a study showed thousands of speeders each week on key roadways. - ➤ The Louisiana Supreme Court has mandated that all judges complete an hour of domestic violence and trauma-informed training every two years—this order, effective immediately, covers topics like protective orders and the effects of violence on children and adults and is provided by the Louisiana Judicial College and LPOR. - ➤ Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux introduced a new economic development website—designed to simplify permit processes for small businesses—and said he will attend the upcoming Father’s Day 5K event organized by Alex T. Ray. He also discussed Senate Bill 99, which limits speed camera use to school zones, while exploring new ways to address speeding. KTAL
- ➤ The Senate Insurance Committee approved HB264 on Wednesday—this measure stops pharmacy benefit managers from steering customers to their own stores and forces them to disclose discounts, which should benefit independent pharmacies and consumers.
