Good morning, Shreveport.

Caddo Parish is reviewing two separate community projects — a multi-sports complex and a dedicated pickleball park.

The complex, funded by a $60 million property tax millage bond vote in Nov., and the park, financed with nearly $10 million in bonds, are designed to boost local tourism.

Downtown Shreveport hosts Canvas & Cadence at Uneeda Artist Lofts for Black Music Month as local artists display works that blend music with visual art.

Organizers Ron Smith and Karen LaBeau say the exhibit celebrates civil rights and community spirit.

Louisiana Lottery president Rose Hudson said the agency’s revenue has grown from about $100 million to nearly $600 million and now supports key education funding and addiction services while the lottery is exploring mobile ticket sales pending legislative approval (which would not affect its 2,900 retailers).

LSU Health Shreveport is enrolling women for a trial testing bromocriptine to improve heart function after childbirth — the study enrolls up to 200 patients and runs until August, with free follow-ups offering $100 gift cards.
