Good morning, Shreveport.

Shreveport became the first city in Louisiana to host a social media and digital marketing conference, where local businesses and content creators gained fresh strategies to boost their online presence.

Antioch Baptist Church, founded by 73 Black pioneers in 1866 and housed at 1057 Texas Avenue since 1903, celebrated its 160-year legacy with an anniversary service at First Baptist plus via Zoom; under Pastor Bruce Carroll Sr., the church will soon begin renovations as it adapts to new worship formats.

City crews restored water pressure after lightning struck the Inner Loop Booster Station overnight Friday, causing issues in parts of Shreveport; emergency measures were in place until specialized parts arrive early next week (the water team praised the rapid response).
