- ➤ Five people have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the 2024 killing of Shreveport teen Dayton Allen and his girlfriend in Arlington, as surveillance footage linked the suspects to a white Ford Fusion seen at the scene and family reports said a money dispute may have sparked the violence+ investigators tracked the car with GPS. - ➤ Two men—Varela Jose Manuel, 24, and Eduardo Delaluz, 24—were arrested by Shreveport police on Friday, June 20 in the Highland neighborhood after officers responded to reports of gunshots and a fleeing vehicle, finding shell casings and several guns in the car, with Manuel showing signs of impairment and Delaluz struggling with officers, leading to charges including aggravated flight, illegal use of a weapon, and a first offense DWI for Manuel and resisting arrest plus illegal use of a weapon for Delaluz. - ➤ The Shreveport City Marshal’s Office is holding its annual Amnesty Day today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City Courthouse, where residents with outstanding warrants or delinquent fines issued through City Court can get a new court date or payment plan—warrants for domestic abuse, battery of a dating partner, DWIs or probation are not eligible.
