- ➤ Shreveport Police are seeking a man accused of burglarizing a vehicle on June 23—he reportedly stole credit cards from the victim's car and used them for fraudulent purchases totaling over $4,000. Shreveport Bossier Journal
- ➤ On June 28, Shreveport police responded to a shooting at a Lakeshore Drive apartment complex that left three people shot — one is fighting for life — and they are investigating the incident. KSLA

- ➤ Stage Center and its School of Performing Arts will perform Hairspray at Centenary College’s Marjorie Lyons Playhouse in Shreveport from July 17 through July 20, featuring 37 local performers and lead roles by Hanna Wallace + Trey Jackson + Barbara Holmes. Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. on July 17 and 18, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on July 19, and 2 p.m. on July 20, and tickets cost $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and military, and $22 for students. KTAL

- ➤ Ascentek announced plans to invest $50 million to build a new 270,000-square-foot facility and upgrade its production center in Shreveport to support growing global demand. The expansion will create 91 direct jobs and retain 105 current positions—groundbreaking is set to begin in late 2025 with construction expected to last 18 months to 2 years. - ➤ Louisiana homeowners have seen home insurance premiums rise sharply with rates increasing 16% last year and 14% this year.
