- ➤ Shreveport police arrested Mahogany Washington for allegedly sharing a private sexual video without permission—a charge under nonconsensual disclosure of private images linked to an incident that reportedly occurred in May. KSLA
- ➤ Termekia Montgomery, 42, was wanted for setting her rented mobile home on fire in Keithville on Jan. 5, 2022 and was arrested in Texas on June 15—she was extradited on July 1 to face charges for arson and insurance fraud. KSLA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Caddo Parish Public Schools released LEAP scores on Thursday that showed notable math gains and steady growth in English and science across 24 schools; efforts such as doubled math instruction time and targeted coaching helped improve mastery levels for major student subgroups — including economically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, and English language learners. These gains underscore the district's commitment to rigorous, standards-aligned instruction as it supports students from elementary through high school. KTBS
