- ➤ Every Friday at 10 a.m., seniors gather at Hattie Perry Park (4300 Ledbetter Drive) for a low-impact line dancing class led by Stephanie McCray to stay fit and enjoy social time. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On July 2, Shreveport police found a 91 year old woman badly beaten, tied up and locked in her closet and arrested 24 year old Kendrell Thomas — he now faces charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, second degree battery and home invasion while the victim remains in critical condition in hospital. KTAL
- ➤ Police confirmed that a woman was shot while driving on Interstate 220 near Jefferson Paige Road at about 2:20 p.m. on July 4 and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries—investigators have not yet identified a suspect. KTAL

- ➤ Robinson Film Center in Shreveport will host a wine tasting event on July 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. led by Sommelier Pamela Brown—guests are invited to wear pink and enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres while sampling premium dry rosé wines. KTAL
