On July 3 at 5:26 p.m., a blue Dodge Ram hydroplaned in rainy conditions on I-220 near I-49, struck a guardrail and collided with another car—killing one person—while authorities investigate the multi-vehicle crash.

A 6-year-old accidentally shot himself in his father’s vehicle in the Raising Cane parking lot—he is in critical condition, according to the Shreveport Police Department.

A Shreveport woman was arrested on three counts of neglect of family after police responded on June 5th at Village Square Apartments—where they found her three children living in unsanitary conditions with cockroaches on nearly every surface—and she was booked at the city jail.
