- ➤ Shreveport Police responded to a shooting on the 1000 block of Dalzell Street on Aug 3 at about 9:46 p.m. when they found a Black female victim with multiple gunshot wounds at 1005 Dalzell who was pronounced dead by fire officials—detectives are now leading an ongoing investigation. - ➤ A fatal shooting occurred late Sunday night in Shreveport when a man exited a sedan and fired a handgun inside Sherpatrick Washington's home on Dalzell Street in the Fairfield neighborhood—Caddo Parish coroner identified the 26-year-old victim as the city's 24th homicide. KTBS

- ➤ Dead fish have been found in Lake Bistineau in northern Bossier Parish and in East Kings Bayou near Captain Shreve High School today, prompting local experts to check the water quality. Officials from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Shreveport’s Department of Water and Sewerage plan to take water samples (testing for low oxygen and sewer water) with results expected in a couple of days.
