- ➤ Shreveport Police arrested FedEx driver Jalen Page on Aug. 13 at 1:30 p.m. after officers responded to a theft at 7044 Youree Drive and found items stolen from stores like Buckle and Best Buy in his truck—detectives continue to search for more recovered merchandise. Shreveport Bossier Journal
- ➤ Shreveport Police arrested Lebroderick Jones on Thursday in connection with Wednesday’s armed robbery at Home Federal Bank on Market and Crockett streets—officers found a firearm and dye-stained money during a search of his home and he is expected to face armed robbery charges. - ➤ A Shreveport man was arrested after he allegedly pulled a gun on an employee at a senior living home on Jewella Avenue, and 66-year-old Michael Moore—also a convicted felon—is facing charges of aggravated assault with a firearm. KSLA

- ➤ Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that the state is suing Roblox for not having basic safety controls to protect children from predators—alleging that the platform easily allows users to lie about their age and for harmful content to spread. Shreveport Times
- ➤ The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a lower court ruling that Louisiana’s legislative maps diluted Black voters’ power through discriminatory packing and cracking. A seven‐day trial in late 2023 offered expert testimony and firsthand accounts from voters in Shreveport — Baton Rouge and Natchitoches that proved the maps undermined fair representation.
