- ➤ Former Shreveport police officer Alexander Tyler faces trial for negligent homicide and a federal civil rights lawsuit in connection with Alonzo Bagley's shooting at Villa Norte Apartments in February 2023 — after repeated delays, both sides agreed to continue the trial, which is now set for Jan. 26, 2026. - ➤ Shreveport Police suspect that on Saturday at 8:20 p.m., Blake Tannen, 40, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run near J.S. Clark Middle School along Hearne Avenue after he walked in the road, and police ask anyone with video or tips to call 318-673-7300 or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. - ➤ A person died after a shooting in Shreveport late Monday night near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Willie Mays Street—officers said the victim was driving when another car pulled up alongside and started firing before both vehicles crashed. KTBS

- ➤ Caddo Parish commissioners met Monday to discuss Curtis 50 Cent Jackson's plans and announced a permanent dome in downtown Shreveport that will feature LED lights and a green park around it. The dome will be built by converting Millennium Studios into a G-Unit headquarters and is expected to open in eight months— a key step in Jackson’s vision to draw tourists and revitalize downtown.
