- ➤ On August 18th, police investigated a fatal shooting that occurred at 10:30 p.m.—one driver was fatally hit while a black car with three passengers opened fire on the 1600 block of Dr. MLK Drive, and officers are now searching for the suspects. KSLA
- ➤ The Shreveport police are asking for the public's help finding nine-year-old London Isaac, who was last seen on August 19 walking east on East Egan Street and was wearing a pink shirt, grey tights, and a blue jean jacket. KTBS
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Caddo Parish School Board approved a one-time $1,500 stipend for all eligible district employees with payments scheduled for Sept. 12 for those employed and eligible for benefits by Sept. 1, funded by higher-than-expected local tax revenues. New hires for the 2025–2026 school year will qualify for both the board bonus and the state-approved bonus of $2,000 for certified teachers and $1,000 for support staff. KTBS

- ➤ Caddo Parish Commission tabled an amendment that would require a Special Exception Use for placing manufactured homes within five miles—adding a $350 fee and a public hearing—to address resident concerns.
