CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Shreveport police arrested three men Tuesday night for a deadly shooting on the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Drive that claimed the life of young mother Labriesha Patterson; Deceldrion Gay, 19, was taken into custody Monday night and detectives later detained Tywann Gibson, 17—who also faces a simple escape charge—and Rodney Thomas Jr., 19 as they are all charged with second-degree murder. - ➤ Connor Johnston Lyons, 19, was indicted by the Caddo Parish Grand Jury for second-degree murder, battery of a police officer, and resisting an officer after he allegedly stabbed his mother, 55, as she slept on May 23 at her Blanchard home—he is currently held at Caddo Correctional Center with a $2 million bond. - ➤ Shreveport police arrested Leavern Johnson, 29, on felony hit-and-run and felony obstruction charges after a fatal crash on Aug. 16 at 8:20 p.m. on the 300 block of Hearne Avenue hit Blake Tannen—who was walking and was thrown into the grass—with evidence and witness reports leading to the arrest. - ➤ Shreveport police found a missing 9-year-old girl on Aug 20th and urge anyone with more details to contact local law enforcement—Caddo Crime Stoppers or Shreveport Police. KTAL

- ➤ Centenary College of Louisiana celebrated the grand opening of Bicentennial Village, a new apartment-style student housing complex for up to 96 students.
