- ➤ The Shreveport City Council passed a resolution Tuesday supporting efforts by the Louisiana Supreme Court + others to reduce the 17-page protective order form to four pages so domestic abuse victims can get help faster. KSLA
- ➤ Clyde Fant Parkway near the Jimmie Davis Bridge will close for two weeks starting Sept. 8 for bridge replacement work on the Shreveport side—motorists should use alternate routes while northbound lanes and the bridge remain open. KSLA

- ➤ The Caddo Parish School Board approved a $1.3 million bid from Willis Knighton Health for the closed Queensborough Elementary School property nearly four months after its closure—public comments on Aug 19 raised concerns that the sale price was low but board members noted the bid was near 93% of the appraised value.
