- ➤ Rick Rowe remembered Mark Allen as a Springhill native and dedicated public servant who served in the Guard and as a Shreveport firefighter before dying from brain cancer. Visitation took place Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton—his funeral will be today at 11 a.m. KTBS

- ➤ After a video showing an officer returning items to a local store prompted criminal and administrative investigations, the Shreveport Police Department arrested three officers—booked at Caddo Correctional Center on Sept. 5—for theft and malfeasance in office linked to a repossession call at a local casino. - ➤ The Red River Quilters will hold their 2025 Quilt Show on Sept 12–13 at the Agriculture Building in Shreveport, where over 200 quilts will be displayed in shows like Quilts That Shout and Quilts with Curves.
