- ➤ Bossier’s Eastbank District will host the Very Merry Food Truck Roundup on December 12 at 5 p.m.—trucks like Ono Hawaiian, Hot Dawg Hut, Larry P’s Boiling Pot, Good Cravings, Joe’s 2 Geaux, Yeero-Yeero, and Coffee Krewe SBC will serve food and support local families through donations to the Freedom Church Food Pantry while kids enjoy free crafts, cocoa, and music by the Jester Band. - ➤ The Salvation Army of Shreveport fed many people for Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) at its E Stoner Avenue location, and the Shreveport Fire Department delivered 400 plates to homebound residents (supporting those in need). KSLA
- ➤ Companions of CPAS reported that this year’s Thanksgiving at the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter looked different as a board member’s death, travel conflicts and a volunteer shortage led to canceling the usual event, and the animals received a special meal with 36 pounds of turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, rice, peas and carrots.
