ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday afternoon, the Shreveport Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 100 block of East Topeka Street where a resident rescued his family—including one disabled member—from the flames before firefighters contained the fire in 15 minutes and he was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation. - ➤ Downtown Shreveport’s The Grove will host a one-night autograph event on Thursday, December 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fans will meet film star Pippi Longstocking and Marvel actor Dr. Hasaan Rasheed — they will sign autographs and take photos during this family-friendly event. - ➤ New public murals are coming to Shreveport to celebrate the city’s history and boost local pride. District 3 Rep. Tammy Phelps secured state funds in 2023 for the project—featuring work by local artist Kadavien Baylor—and the series is set to finish in 2027 with installations on I-49 and Cedar Grove underpass.
