- ➤ Regional gas prices in the Gulf Coast averaged $2.55 per gallon today, down from $2.64 per gallon last week, according to the EIA+report, and they remain about 14.5% below the national average of $2.98 per gallon. Shreveport Times

- ➤ Shreveport native Kamrin Hooks joined the Peace Corps in Lesotho to teach math and English, with classes starting in January (training finished in December). - ➤ Fromm Family Foods recalled 300 cases of frozen dog food after reports of plastic contamination emerged + the product was sold in pet stores across several states, including Louisiana. No dog illnesses have been reported. KSLA

- ➤ Data from Realtor.com shows that in September, home sale prices in Caddo Parish dipped nearly 2% from August to a median of $196,000, while single-family homes and condos (with prices falling 1.9% and 51.4% respectively) trended lower as recorded sales edged up from last year. Shreveport Times
