  • Brookshire Grocery Co. donated thousands of pounds of food to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana — supporting local families in need — during the holiday season.  KSLA

  • Louisiana home insurer SureChoice is cutting premiums by 7.5% (its second rate change within a year) as reinsurance costs drop, though many homeowners still face high overall rates amid market challenges.  The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate

SPORTS NEWS

  • Senior safety Luke Miller anchors Calvary's defense at the state championship in the Superdome tonight, leading the team against Dunham while using over 100 tackles from past games (he credits his coach-father background for his insight).   • On Dec. 11, Dunham football won the LHSAA Select DIII championship at the Caesars Superdome by defeating Calvary Baptist 34-17. Junior quarterback Elijah Haven led the Tigers with over 400 total yards as Dunham ended the season 13-1 while Calvary Baptist closed at 12-2.  Shreveport Times
