  • Apartment rental prices in Shreveport decreased 4% since last November, with a median rate of $1,013 today compared to last year's $1,050, while one- and two-bedroom rates edged slightly upward from October. Data from Zumper covers all sizes from studios to four-bedroom units and excludes subsidized listings.  Shreveport Times

  • Several local bakeries in Shreveport are offering festive holiday treats for Christmas parties this season. Strawn's Eat Shop offers a signature butterscotch icebox pie (a holiday favorite) while Julie Anne's Bakery and others serve gingerbread cookies (and cakes) to complete festive menus.  Shreveport Times
