The Art Journal: A Six-Month Creative Wellness Workshop

Led by art therapist Dr. Rebecca Thomas , The Art Journal is a six-month creative wellness experience centered on creativity, reflection, connection, and personal expression.
Participants will receive a blank art journal to use throughout the series. At each monthly gathering, Rebecca will introduce a new prompt and different art materials and techniques to help participants begin a journal page. Pages may be completed during the workshop or continued independently between sessions.
Because meaningful connection develops over time, registration is for the complete six-month series . Meeting with the same group each month provides an opportunity for participants to become comfortable creating together, get to know one another, and share thoughtful feedback and encouragement as their journals develop.
Workshop Dates: October 13 • November 10 • December 8 • January 12 • February 9 • March 9
Time: 5:30–7:30 PM
Location: Highland Art House, 1525 Stephens St
Registration Fee: $50 for the complete six-month series
Materials: Art journal and workshop materials included
Thanks to generous funding from The Noel Foundation , the majority of the cost of this six-month program is subsidized. The $50 registration fee represents only a portion of the actual cost of providing the program.
Financial assistance with the registration fee is available for participants experiencing financial hardship. Please contact Noel Community Arts Program for information.
Space is limited. Advance registration is required, and participants should plan to attend all six monthly sessions.
