If you're voting today, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and anyone in line by 8 p.m. still gets to vote. Shreveport's next mayor is on the ballot, along with U.S. House and Senate seats, KSLA reports.

Your Election Day precinct may differ from your early voting spot, so we suggest checking before you go and reviewing your sample ballot. Crews spent Monday delivering and testing machines in Caddo, where a new state law lets high school students work the polls.

The Wrap

Some of the best dinners hide in plain sight, and a reader's email just sent a Journal contributor to Tike's Treats and Eats on Youree Drive. The menu features Detroit-style and regular pizza, plus Po' Boy Pockets and sandwiches. The review says more people definitely need to be talking about this place, so consider this us talking. Po' Boy Pockets sound like a fine start.
